Purpose Of The Job
To contribute to the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of full-stack software solutions that align with Namport’s digital transformation objectives. This role reports directly to the Specialist: Software Development and focuses on collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop user-centric applications across multiple platforms, ensure seamless integration and provide ongoing technical support.
Key Performance Areas
- Develop, enhance, and maintain cross-platform web, desktop, and mobile applications using Microsoft technologies such as .NET, Xamarin, MAUI, Blazor, and Power Platform.
- Design and develop scalable, cloud-native architectures using Microsoft technologies, including Azure, Power Platform, and .NET.
- Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and high-performance data solutions using Microsoft SQL Server, Dataverse, and Azure SQL.
- Deliver reliable and high-performing web, mobile, desktop, and Power Platform applications through comprehensive testing strategies.
- Deploy and manage applications across Microsoft Azure, Power Platform, and enterprise environments.
- Engage with business users and stakeholders to gather requirements, promote solution adoption, and ensure successful delivery of Microsoft-based applications.
- Identify, analyse, and resolve technical issues across Microsoft applications and services, including Power Platform, Azure, and .NET-based solutions.
- Foster innovation by researching, evaluating, and piloting emerging Microsoft technologies such as Power Virtual Agents, Azure Cognitive Services, and AI tools.
- Design and deliver effective training programs to empower users and support teams in adopting desktop, web, mobile, and Power Platform solutions
Qualifications, Experience And Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree [NQF Level 7] in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
- An Honours Degree [NQF Level 8] in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent is an added advantage.
- Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum Developer, Agile Certified Practitioner), cloud technologies (e.g. Azure, AWS, Google, CompTIA Cloud+), Business Analysis, Microsoft Developer Certifications (MCSD, Azure or Power Platform), DevOps (Microsoft, AWS, Google, Kubernetes etc.) is an added advantage.
- Minimum of five (5) years of proven experience in software development building, implementing and maintaining complex software solutions using the Microsoft development stack (.NET Framework or .NET Core and SQL server).
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, Microsoft technologies and cloud technologies, Front-end frameworks, APIs, web services, Power Platform and software infrastructure. Familiarity in Azure DevOps or similar tools for agile project management and version control. (e.g., CI/CD processes and GitHub/GitLab.
- Driver’s License.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills to identify, analyse, and resolve technical issues.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with business stakeholders, users, and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
