Main Purpose Of Job
The Unit Manager is responsible for managing Surgical Ward to ensure safe patients’ care and a great patient experience. They also manage the human and other resources in order in order to make sure that employees members are active and the processes are optimally optimized.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Provide the safety of patients by ensuring that they meet defined clinical quality standards, according to the company’s policies and procedures
- Control and reduce the risk of clinical complications within the unit
- Manage and lead the employees of the unit
- Control the unit’s operating and capital expenditures in accordance with budgetary and financial guidelines and ensure efficient use of resources
- Contribute actively and effectively to the positive experience of clients within the hospital
- Facilitate the achievement of interdepartmental goals
- Maintain key stakeholder relations
Required Education
- Professional Nurse qualification, and Postgraduate Diploma in Health Services Management or an Accredited Management Qualification OR 5 years of leadership experience in a hospital, and Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing
