Purpose
The person in charge will be accountable to provide exceptional customer service throughout checking out. The candidate should have an easygoing manner, a keen concentration on details and the capacity to process transactions with accuracy and efficiently. The incumbent will play an important part in ensuring a pleasant customer experience.
Requirements
- Grade 12.
- A one (1) year of experience as a Cashier or equivalent role.
- Experience with the points of sale (POS) software.
- Excellent computer literacy capabilities.
- High degree of precision.
Key Result Areas
- Enter price code in the till.
- Search for item on computer, If the item isn’t price codified.
- Count floats to ensure the accuracy.
- Perform electronic and cash transactions.
- Note cash sales in a the manual invoice book when your system is down and transfer to the computer after it has been up and running.
- Conciliate daily transactions.
- Refund Customer for Credits or credit account if an additional invoice is needed.
- Participate in bi-annual stock market shares.
