Description
We are looking for an experienced and skilled Maintenance Technician – Electrical who can join our vibrant team in the mining industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and test the latest electrical and electronic equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment and other equipment using guides, diagrams, as well as technical specs.
- Find out what is the reason behind electrical and mechanical problems with the correct methods and tools to identify the problem.
- Find out the root of mechanical problems by watching equipment, looking for anomalies, and using top-quality testing equipment.
- Dismantle and remove defective components using hand tools as well as power tools. Check the components for wear and tear.
- Repair or manufacture parts using shop tools, machines and instruments.
- Conduct routine and ad-hoc tests of the electric circuits, systems and electrical components.
- Keep up-to-date and the most current electronic systems, wiring and components.
- Implement and develop maintenance plans to ensure equipment’s availability and effectiveness.
Requirements
- Qualifiying : National Vocational Certificate Level 3 (Electrical Instrumentation, Millwright).
- Know-how : At least 3 years of work experience in a mining or heavy industrial setting.
- Computer and Language Skills : Good command of the English language (written and spoken) and computer-literate.
- Flexibility : Ability to work without supervision.
